Lithuanian Farmers’ Union is an independent, voluntary non-governmental organization, uniting Lithuanian farmers and persons related to and interested in agricultural activity, formed to represent and defend the interests of its members in various Lithuanian and international institutions.

LFU structure is designed so it enables to carry out the functions, which are defined in the statute of LFU, in a more efficient, flexible and broad manner.

Bodies of the Union are: Congress of LFU, Presidium and the Chairman of LFU. Bodies of management – Presidium and Chairman.

Union’s financial activities are controlled by the auditor. By the decision of Union’s Congress, The Presidium or Chairman of LFU ad hoc (special) groups  may be established to consider concrete issues or perform some of the management body’s functions.
